Photo-Stat’s medical record release of information service is provided free of charge to medical facilities. Your bonded Photo-Stat representative is HIPAA-compliant and processes all your facility’s medical record requests on a daily or weekly basis and includes patient transfers, insurance, attorney, disability and subpoena requests. Photo-Stat provides our own equipment and supplies, pays postage for records sent via certified and overnight mail, and offers notary services for subpoena requests.
For EMR-equipped facilities that are tired of this tedious task, we will efficiently handle your medical record requests. We securely process these requests in several different HIPAA-compliant ways:
Your Photo-Stat Representative arrives at your facility, accesses the requested records in your EMR system and prints them out using our printer and toner.
Your Photo-Stat Representative arrives at your facility, uploads requested medical records to Photo-Stat’s secure website using PhotoDrive™ and processes the request.
Photo-Stat extracts the requested records from your EMR using our secure StatLink™ system. For added security, you will receive reports detailing exactly when Photo-Stat accessed your system and precisely whose medical records Photo-Stat released.

During our introductory meeting with your medical facility, Photo-Stat designs protocols ensuring smooth service and minimizing interruptions. These protocols adhere to your facility’s policies and procedures, outline your busiest times to avoid, establish the most convenient location for Photo-Stat on site operations, and define other facility criteria.
To drastically reduce the number of phone calls your staff must handle, Photo-Stat provides scripts for your facility’s voicemail with instructions on requesting medical records and directing concerns, questions, or update requests to Photo-Stat.
